It's the Pumpkin Patch, Dear Readers!!

Believe it or not, Saturday was the very first time I had ever been to a pumpkin patch!!! We always got our pumpkins at the store. They really didn't have a whole lot of patches in California. The ones they did have became Christmas tree lots, also, in December, and were mucho expensivo. In Florida this one PTA ran one. And the local produce stand.

ANYWAY, on Saturday we set out to go to the Munson Farm's Pumpkin Patch(the Munson family has a huge farm and raises Mungus Angus Cattle and sells their beef). Turns out they were not open to the public that day. They were hosting a YMCA thing. Oh well. We had 3 other choices....Clay Center,El Dorado or Manhattan. I was told the ones in Clay Center and El Dorado were really good. Problem was, El Dorado is over an hour away, and Clay Center is like 45 minutes(and I had no idea where they acually were in those towns!!). It was late afternoon. We almost went to Clay Center, but then decided on Manhattan. This is where we went...

Although not that spectacular, the people were really nice.

Here is TJ with just one of the dislays of pumpkins...

so cool.

Here is a fancy picture of me...

The sweater really shows how huge I am!!

This is the entertainment area...

Lots of little things for kids to do.

They had hayrack rides, but it cost $7.00 a person!! We skipped that.

Here's the patch...

We also saw an interesing pumpkin and sunflower...

Kinda weird.

I found a goat with his very own mini me...

Included in the S7.00 is a petting pen.

These are the pumpkins we got(I picked both of them out)...

Pete....

and Bob...

We also bought a honey filled bear and apple and cherry cider slushies. Ymmmmm.

And that was my very first trip to a pumpkin patch.

So did you literally cut the pumpkin from the vine?

Oh no!!! Those were the ones that were not picked yet. We got ours off of a table or from a bin.
