Super Saturday

I needed to go to Whole Foods, so TJ and I made a day out of it in the Overland Park area. Our first stop was Moe's in Shawnee so I could have a tofu taco :)

You might recall that we discovered Moe's while in Florida.

After, we headed the other direction to stop at The Scrapbook Page. How funny is the name of this road?

Then we headed south on Quivira to Scrapbook Unique in Lenexa(the only place I find that sells panoramic page sleeves). We took a detour out 435 to 71, then, into Missouri to go to Gails Harley, which is where we had bought our first Harley :) Someone got one while we were there and it was fun to hear them announce it and ring the bell.

Then we headed back over to Quivira Road to stop at 7-11 for Slurpees!!

Next was Whole Foods to get some stuff(and the reason for the whole day trip!!) and Cheesecake Factory for cheesecake to go!! Then we headed out on 119 to Archivers for more scrapbooking stuff and to Smallcakes for some yummy cupcakes

Next door were these cute frogs!!

While at Smallcakes we met up with our friend, Kenny, who lives about 10 minutes away from us in JC, but spends weekends at his girlfriend's in OP, so yes, it took us travelling 2 hours to visit with someone who lives 10 minutes away!! LOL This was not planned as we only discovered he was in the area by an update he put on his Facebook!!

He showed us a Harley shop in Olathe we did not know about

They were having a tent sale

The tent was awesome!!

So were these bikes

Next we went to Bass Pro Shops(I had previously discovered this when I made a wrong turn LOL)

I should mention that Kenny also had his kids with them and it was nice to see them again. His daughter, who is 9 now, wanted to stick with me and I enjoyed that :) There is a longer story here, but that is maybe for another post.

Do you know what this is?

It's a bear butt!!!

More pictures from the store

After there we headed up to Legends Mall in Kansas City, KS for dinner at Dave and Busters(after stopping at Tommy Hilfigers for a shirt. Do you all remember who used to model for them??). I had Buffalo Bar Chicks and TJ had a Philly Cheese.

We played games after dinner(again I hung out with my little friend :) and then tried to go over to Nebraska Furniture Mart to look at a dining table I found online, but they were closed already :(

As you can see, we make the most out of our time in this part of Kansas LOL.

you did pack a lot into your day trip! Looks like a lot of fun! It is interesting to read about other parts of the country and see what stores/restaurants we have in common like Dave and Busters and The Cheesecake Factory. We don't have the Bass Pro Shop here but had one in Montana after we moved.

Glad you met up with your friend and got to spend some time with his children; I'm sure his daughter did enjoy the time with you!
