Scattered Saturday

So, the disastrous Apple Days was not the only thing I did today. I slept in this morning to EIGHT and then lazed in bed an hour. I got up at 9, had breakfast and got ready to meet TJ at the Harley Shop. I could not have timed it any better; as I pulled out of my apartment complex the motorcycles from KC and those that rode out to escort them(including my husband) went by on the Interstate.

TJ has been working so much he really hasn't visited the Harley shop in awhile and everyone was happy to see him. It is his second home and you can tell. While we waited to move on to post I was finally able to watch The Pioneer Woman Cooks!! She made a pot roast and I knew I would have to make one this weekend as well.

So, after Apple Days TJ took me back to the Harley Shop to get my car and I went to the dairy and then Dillons.

As I pulled in the parking lot Miss K was there with her mom and brother. I ended up shopping with Miss K :) I also saw my friend, Sandy. I love living in a small town.

Of course I got a chuck roast.

So, then I went home and the plan was to clean the kitchen and storage unit(I nearly killed myself getting my helmet out this morning). Instead I watched While You Were Sleeping and took a nap.

I got the kitchen done this evening and am baking.

We will have to dig through the storage unit when we want things.

I am now wondering what else I can do this evening as the sleep train has long left the building with that nap.

LOL about the sleep train, that is one of those things about taking a nap :) I have a great recipe for a roast too, never saw the Pioneer Woman cooking one, but mine comes out pretty darn good! (Basically you start with a rump roast, your get a packet of Italian seasoning mix, you cook that with two cups of water and an 8-oz can of tomato sauce for five minutes. Then you have the roast in the crockpot, pour this mix over on top of it and then put in carrots and potatoes. Cook it on low for 6-8 hours. It is soooo good! But you got to get a rump roast, the meat just flakes with that. other cuts dont' do as well....)

Happy Sunday!
