Between work and playing and taking care of Peanut it is hard to blog as much as I would like. I thought I would post a little update here as to what is happening in our lives.
Well the big news is that at 10 weeks of age on August 19, 2014 Peanut said his first word!!! It was "hello". I was stunned. I was able to get him to say it again imitating me and he will say it on his own daily. I know there is no cognitive meaning behind it (he does not know it is a greeting); he just put sounds together and happened to make a word!! That is really cool. He is also outgrowing his 0-3 month clothes faster than he outgrew his newborns :( I am bummed because most of it is so cute.
As for me, I started work last week and for the most part I am loving it! I have one kiddo I am primarily assigned to this year and he is awesome! Of course there are challenges, too, but overall he is a joy :) I am also mostly in one classroom with a teacher I love, but I go to a different class for reading (with another teacher i love) and get some one on one time with my assigned kiddo. I will be working one on one with another, too on something specific so that will be cool. Just enough variety. Oh and my day breaks down really well. I do morning line up of course and lunch recess as usual, but it has changed this year. We also do a morning recess as a class. I feel like the days go by fast. Oh and for the first time in 6 1/2 years of working there i actually went down and saw what the basement looks like lol. I really never had a reason to go down before so on my first day back I checked it out and it is HUGE! And really well organized! Oh, I also bought a whistle for line up and recess :)
TJ had his follow up appointment on Thursday and was cleared to go back to work. He still cannot ride his motorcycle, though :(
Scout has been going outside off leash and loving it. Sometimes he goes a little too far and does not hear me call, but on the second check he comes running :) Sometimes Henry is out and they play or just relax together.
So that is what is going on. I will share more pictures soon, too.
