Adventures in Eating

Peanut is making progress in his eating habits. He still eats baby food, but he also loves mashed potatoes and on Saturday tried grits!! TJ loves grits and learned to eat them from his dad so I am glad the tradition is continuing! Peanut also likes to take a spoon and "feed" himself. Last week we went to Stacy's for brunch and Peanut tried lemon meringue pie. He didn't like it lol. Usually he behaves in the restaurant, but when he doesn't I take him out. The food keeps him occupied, though.

That's great he likes grits :) I think kids can get used to being in a restaurant if they know what to expect when in it. I know you started taking him out early in his life with you guys; I think that's half the battle. We did the same with our kids. Starting with fast food places, then working our way up to family restaurants where the food might come out a little quicker and then to fancier places. It can be just a touch annoying to be enjoying a nice restaurant meal and having a child misbehaving and the parents not doing something about it; so it is nice you take him out of there if on the rare chance he is not behaving appropriately.

Seeimg kids' fkrst reactions to foods is the best. My god daughter loves avacado. We get a kick out of letting her eat lemon slices. She makes the worst face, but then wants more!
